HOLE 17 VIEWS 1995 TO 1998
1995 - 1999This set of photographs show several views of hole 17 in the period 1995 to 1998. At that time, it was a relatively short (135m men, 108m women) hole that featured a lake on the northern edge of the green.
The images, in date order are:
1 - July 1995 looking from tee to green
''A solitary golfer on the 17th green''
2 - July 1995 looking from the green over the lake to the 18th tee
3 - March 1996 looking back to the tee from the green
4 - March 1996 looking over the green from back to front
5 - March 1996 looking from the green over the lake to the 18th tee
6 - 1997 looking from the north over the lake to the green
7 - 1997 looking from the north over the lake to the green - golfers walking towards the green
8 - 1998 looking from the green over the lake to the 18th tee
The ducks in images 3 and 4 were somewhat of a novelty but were also seen as a pest with all the excrement they left on the putting surface.
The images were sourced from Terry McCall’s Photographic Album Item 2022.340
