1982 MGGC OPEN DOCUMENTS

These three documents relate to the 1982 MGGC Open.

All are personal items of Robbie Petersen, the winner of the inaugural MGGC Open conducted in 1969.

The first document is an invitation to the Champion of Champions dinner that was conducted on the Friday before the weekend of the event. The Champion of Champions golf event was a subsidiary of the Open whereby Champions of each golf club were invited to compete to become the “Champion of Champions”. The dinner invitation to Robbie Petersen is presumed to be honorary for him as the winner of the 1969 Open.

The second document is a personal letter of invitation to compete in the 1982 Open from the Tournament Director, Max Hannah. The letter mentions a $250 cash prize to the first amateur golfer who scores a hole in one on the 9th hole.

The third document is a copy of the 1982 Glades Open brochure.
