Historical information

From 2006 Tim Kennelly played for the Perth-based Western Heelers team and for Perth Heat from 2010 when the Australian Baseball League was re-established. He competed in the Claxton Shield Championships in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2009-2010, 2014-2015. Kennelly has had a long and decorated baseball career, winning the Helms Award twice as the most outstanding player in the ABL and serving as captain of the national men's team. He represented Australia in the 2009 and 2011 Baseball World Cup, the 2013 and 2017 World Baseball Classic, the 2018 exhibition series against Japan and the 2019 WBSC Premier12. In 2020 he was appointed head coach of the Australia West team for the Palomino Asia Pacific Tournament.
