MRS E C (CONNIE) DAWSON B. E. M.
Emma Constance ("Connie") Dawson (nee Coops) was born in 1912 in the town of Buckingham, near Collie in Western Australia.

She started the local Association (Now Parent’s Support Group) in 1945. In over 30 years association with the Girl Guides, she was President of the L.A; Warranted Leader and District Commissioner.

Connie was awarded the British Empire Medal in June 1969 - part of the citation was in honour of her work for the Girl Guides.
