COMMISSION, SEPTIMUS BURT, MEMBER EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA
1890Commission by the Governor of Western Australia to appoint Septimus Burt to the Executive Council of Western Australia. Dated 29 December 1890.
Single piece of cream coloured paper vertical half fold, with the text pertaining to the appointment on the front page. At top left a red seal (wafer seal with embossed design) is affixed.
Most of the text is printed; the handwritten elements are the name of Septimus Burt, the date and two signatures. At the bottom of the document the Acting Colonial Secretary, Octavius Burt (Septimus’ younger brother), has signed. Below the seal at the top of the document is the signature of Governor Robinson.
