A) Empty cotton reel with fragment of label on one end, one end has raised disc.
B) Reel is holding brown cotton,lable one one end is partially worn. Other end has been written on in black ink [H.M.W. 50]
C) Reel is holding light brown cotton/silk blend. It has labels on both ends. One end The spindle has punched through the centre where the number 86 resides [mercerised cotton, made in England 86] Other end label is blue & white/The spindle has punched throught the word 'Embassy' [silk finish, machine twist, No 40, 100Yds, Embassy)
D) Reel is holding black cotton label on one end[? COATS, BEST SIX CORE, 400 YDS, 60, SEWING MACHINE COTTON]. Is damaged other end has written in black ink [H.M.W. 60 60]
E) Reel is holding white cotton. Only a fragment of the label is shown at one end only, in white with blue writing. The number '2', letters 'ing', and ATS, are the only things still discernable on the label. Other end has been written in black ink [20].
