Eastern Hills High School Girls Uniform

c. 1974
Historical information

The uniform belonged to (14 year old) Katharine Day who attended Eastern Hills High School from 1974 to 1977. This style of uniform was phased out in c.1975. People were asked to submit designs which were then put to a vote. It was changed to a knee length four gore skirt, which the girls made for themselves in sewing class. It was a turning point in fashion trend at the time, from 60’s mini to the 70’s midi.
