Parkerville Fire 2023

Bushfire reported around 9:30am (21 Dec 2023) near the intersection of Granite and Johnston Roads in Parkerville, on the opposite side of where the 2014 Parkerville Fire started. Bushfire travelled east towards the Parkerville Township burns through acres of bushland and destroying 2 homes and many sheds.
The Emergency Message sent out to Parkerville Residents at 10:11am, 21 Dec 2023:
"This is an EMERGENCY message from DFES. A bushfire EMERGENCY WARNING is in place for people bound by Boyamyne Road, Granite Road, Dartnall Road and Brooking Road in parts of PARKERVILLE in the SHIRE OF MUNDARING. Act immediately to survive. Seek shelter in your home, close all doors and windows and wear protective clothing. For more information visit www.emergency.wa.gov.au, call 13 DFES (13 33 37) or listen to local ABC radio"

And then at 11:20am, 21 Dec 2023:
"This is an EMERGENCY message from DFES. A bushfire EMERGENCY WARNING is in place for people bounded by Boyamyne Road and Fringeleaf Drive, Granite Road, Hedges Road and, Flora Road in parts of HOVEA, PARKERVILLE and STONEVILLE in the SHIRE OF MUNDARING. For people east of Gliddon Road, it is too late to leave, leaving now will put your life in danger. For people west of Gliddon Road, if you are not prepared or you plan to leave, leave now if the way is clear. For more information visit www.emergency.wa.gov.au, call 13 DFES (13 33 37) or listen to local ABC radio."
