c. 1950 - 1959a,b) Two damaged bread and butter plates made by Grindley Hotelware Co England and sold in WA by Gibson Paterson Perth.
Made from super vitrified china with blue rim stripe and a blue shield crest containing monogram letters and the Latin motto "Nobilitas Sola Virtus" (Virtue is the only nobility).
The monogram letters "CM" stand for the Convent of Mercy and below them, incorporated into the shield, is the word "Toodyay".

Made by Grindley Hotelware Co., Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England and imported by Gibsons & Paterson Pty Ltd. The Trade name "Duraline" was adopted by Grindley around the early 1930s
Gibsons & Paterson Pty. Ltd. served as a prominent Sydney-based importer and wholesale supplier of commercial catering equipment and crockery across Australia and New Zealand for Australasian commercial and hospitality use.
