Small hand forged gate latch.
Latch rivetted to bracket and mounting holes are punched through hot metal.

Historical information

Found amongst items being stored in the Wicklow Shearing Shed (beside the Newcastle Police Stables and opposite the Newcastle Gaol Museum, Toodyay) between the early 2000s and 2015.
The shed had been relocated there in 1999 from the Wicklow Hills property.
