Inscribed with text: The Clayton Cup - Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School - Boys' Hockey - Fairest and Best - Donated by Mr. N. C. Jilley. Wooden base has multiple metal shields with Best Boys First XI winners and years inscribed upon each.
Retrieved from storage after 2010 by the School Hockey Co-ordinator, with some gaps in years on the shields denoting the winners around the base as the trophy had not been used for some years. Most of the missing winners added in retrospect at that time, but some are still missing.
