PHOTOGRAPH: COMMERCIAL BANK OF AUSTRALIA

Overview

The black and white photograph features the Commercial Bank of Australia building on the corner of Rokeby Road and Churchill Avenue (the photograph is taken from Churchill Avenue). It is a two storey building with the entrance built diagonally across the corner. There are lace curtains in the upper windows.There are six men standing in front of the bank and a little girl sitting on the steps. Two men, one wearing an apron, are leaning on a horse-drawn cart standing under a tree, which has lettering on the side reading: 'Phone J.T. Guy 1817 - Produce Merchants Subiaco'. There is a bicycle leaning against the tree behind the cart. The road is unsealed.
