UNDERWEAR: JENYNS GURDLE
c. 1950 - 1959Pink Jenyns gurdle. The right edge has 10 holes equally divided over surface. The right side edge has 10 hooks (metal). The fabric is pinkish apricot cotton with a small piece of pink satinee backing near the left edge with an inset of stretched beige elastic fabric above and under it. This is repeated at the other side of lacing. Between the two is a 430 mm x 880 mm piece of cotton fabric divided in two by inset of metal eyes to insert laces.
