Round metal Voluntary Aid Detachment badge with blue enamel border with 'FIFTH MILITARY DISTRICT' on it. Inside the white enamel circle a red cross. Badge attached to small blue narrow rod with V.A.D. printed. The other side, a ringed pin. Bears impressed '63'.
