Telephone Operator Headset (1950s – 1960s)
Historical information
These Bakelite headsets would have been worn by switchboard operators at a Manual Telephone Exchange. The operator would communicate with callers, who they would then transfer to the person they wished to speak to, using a series of electrical cords or switches.
