A walkie-talkie, more formally known as a handheld transceiver or handheld radio, is a hand-held, portable, two-way radio transceiver.

Walkie-Talkie:
Formally known as a hand-held transceiver (HT), the portable two-way radio transceiver was first used during World War 2 by field artillery and tank units. After the War, walkie-talkies became popular for public safety, commercial and jobsite work, and by amateur radio operators.
