On the back of the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "COLLIE 1947. The laying of the first Pipe in the Comprehensive Water Scheme by the Hon Minister for Works. In the photo are the Director of Works Mr R. Dumas & Mr F.M. Bowden Chairman of Katanning Roads Board."
