Railway Cairn Plan

A faded white piece of paper with drawings in blue and yellow of a proposed cairn.
Historical information
The cairn was erected by the Katanning Historical Society in 1938. It is 5kms North of Katanning on the railway line. When complete the cairn had a small piece of railway line placed in the top. The line has the letters WALC moulded into it. The WA Land Co built the original Great Southern line.

Inscriptions and markings
At the top of the paper in four lines of faded brown lettering is "G.S.R. Near Katanning", "Design for Cairn to Commemorate Junction", "of two ends of G.S.Rly. (1889)", "(Katanning Jubilee Celebrations 1939).
