BHS Prefects 1933

This year, as Prefects of the School, we may claim to be the first in the second decade of the school’s history. In years to come we may be forgotten but we will not forget those of our fellow students and those members of the staff who have made our school days, for the most part, very happy.

From what we know of the school it seems to have lost nothing in aging but rattier to have gained in strength in all branches of activity. Let us hope that it will continue to do in the future the good work which has been done in the past,and that amongst the students the motto “‘En Avant” will lose none of its significance.

We offer our best wishes to the prefects who have recently superseded us, and also to all those who, like ourselves, are sitting for one of the public examinations.

In conclusion, let us say that as we consider that we will shortly be leaving the school we become more and more acutely sensible of all that it has done for us, and which we cannot hope to repay. Assuredly our school days have been very happy despite some failures which have marred them, and we are indeed sorry to leave them behind us.
