Historical information
Lighthouse cottage Broome 1959 - 1961. The briefest episode in the tale of the CWA Holiday establishments is that of the two year leas of a cottage at the old light house at Broome. In spite of its historical atmosphere and the efforts of the caretaker, Mr Gould, to remedy its deficiencies the general dilapidation of the building and lack of labour made any continuation of tenure impractical and the lease was allowed to lapse.
