Exterior of Curtin Family Home, Cottesloe, circa 1927.
c. 19271 black and white photographic print
The house built by future prime minister, John Curtin, and his wife Elsie. The labels on the photograph are made at different times - probably the original address '14 Jarrad Street' by Elsie Curtin and then the additions later by her daughter, Elsie Macleod.

Additional information from reverse of photograph: '14 Jarrad Street [original label] later renumbered to 24 (Before verandahs closed in)'.
Changes to the house can be noted in comparison to the earlier and later photographs, with this photograph taken before the lounge-room was extended by filling in the verandah.
