Donation included newspaper clipping (copies) of Mr Wearne's courage in stopping a runaway tram after motorman was flung from his platform. 'Hollywood Grocer's Pluck' from 'The Mirror', March 6, 1937. Filed in Subiaco People file.

Subiaco Churches of Christ Ladies Aid meetings held at home of Mrs Gilbert, Townshend Road, Subiaco. Group made clothes, bed covers, etc. Three of her sons were killed in World War One (see Clock War Memorial). Mrs Gilbert was profoundly deaf.
