1911Black and white photograph. Entire front of store at 103 Rokeby Road. Shop has upstairs living quarters with verandah, cast iron dado and decoration to roof. One half of balcony has blinds across and 2 sash windows can be seen on other half. A large sign is attached at base of balcony "R Durack, Grocer. Swan Brewery Bottled Ale and Stout". On footpath in front of shop is Mr R Durack, left, girl holding a baby, 3 shop assistants in white aprons, one holding a horse which is harnessed to a covered cart. In background near the shop windows is an elderly gentleman with hat and pipe. Foreground shows 2 sets of tramlines and has writing, on photo, of "Subiaco's popular store 1-6-11".
