John Battersby

The man in the photograph is Mr John Battersby who was a member of the Katanning Historical Society for many years. He was the President for 6 years from July 1961 - July 1967 and was Vice President at the time of his death on 4th May 1969. He farmed out at West Katanning. The Property's name was 'Cheviot Hills'. Mr Battersby migrated to Australia in 1927.
