Wireless Set 101 with transmitter and power supply. The Wireless Set 101 was manufactured by Amalgamated Wireless (Australia) in 1940 as a ground station for use by all arms sub-units (infantry company, armoured squadron, artillery battery) to their higher headquarters. It was used in all theatres during World War 2.

With a frequency range of 4.2 to 6.8 MHz it had an operating range with voice of 8 km or 15 km continuous wave when ground mounted. All up, it weighed 28 kg.
