Overview

Studio portrait of Constable Federick Woodfin in police uniform consisting of dark tunic, matching trousers, leather shoes and white pith helmet with chinstrap. The tunic has five buttons, breast pockets with buttoned flaps and a standup collar bearing his number, 987. Ornate studio props are in contrast to the upright stance and forthright gaze of Woodfin. Handwritten below photo is [Fred 1912].

Historical information

Constable Frederick Woodfin was born in Cheshire, England. Joined the Western Australian Police Force. Lived at 66 Victoria Avenue (now Claremont Museum) when stationed at Freshwater Bay from 1918 - 1922. He married Eva Packer. Daughter Edna Myrtle Woodfin b. 1900.
