KOJONUP RESERVE

Indigenous reserves were established near to many rural towns. Sparsely built and with poor communal amenities, these were homes for many Indigenous families who were transitioning from Bush or farm life into town life. Family ties were strong throughout these hardships. 1950's-1990's granny Ettie (Hetty) and Spencer Riley are considered important past leaders of the Kojonup Community and honoured in the Kodja Place with their stories.
