B/W Prints. (a) Fourteen third year high school boys posing in front of Claremont High School. Some are in front of the cyclone wire fence, two are sitting on the top rail and the rest are standing behind it. Several are 'mucking around' on what is believed to be their last day at the school. In the background are the road, a street tree and the two storey units at 83b Bay View Terrace. (b) Nine third year high school girls are grouped on the bitumen playground. All are dressed in summer outfits. In the background are the old, stone physics room and the1950s extensions. Historical information

Claremont High School was on the corner of Bay View Tce and Princess Rd and was part of Claremont Government School. Claremont Senior School became Claremont Central School in 1909 with classes to year 7. It became Claremont High School in 1946, a three year high school. In 1958 the High School students went to Hollywood High and the school went back to Claremont Primary School.
