SAUCER: QUEEN VICTORIA DIAMOND JUBILEE, 1897
1897A circular white china saucer with low-relief embossed scrolls. Transfer picture of Queen Victoria surrounded by roses, thistles, clover leaves and having a scroll beneath the picture reading: '1837 Diamond Queen Victoria Jubilee 1897'. On the opposite side of saucer are crossed flags surmounted by a crown and with rose, thistle and clover-leaf entwined. Flags are Royal Standard and Union Jack. Both transfer pictures have been rather roughly hand coloured in yellow, blue, purple, green, pink and red. Underside of saucer has RdNe 274350 in brown; also '4062' in red paint.
