Australian Baseball Team blazer - 1994 Nicaragua Baseball World Cup
A navy blue Australian team blazer from the 1994 Nicaragua Baseball World Cup championships. The blazer pocket is embroidered with the Australian coat of arms and the word 'Baseball' is embroidered in yellow thread underneath. Buttons on the jacket and cuffs are gold and green.
The 1994 Baseball World Cup was the 32nd international men's amateur baseball tournament. It was held, for the fourth time, in Nicaragua, from August 3 to 14. Cuba defeated South Korea in the final to win its 21st title. There were 16 participating countries, split into two groups, with the first four of each group qualifying for the finals. Australia was placed ninth in the final standings.
