It shows the front page of the 'Selma Times-Journal' with a map of Japan, at the time of the Japanese surrender (1945) at the end of World War II. The American Stars and Stripes flag is standing in the middle of the map of Japan. The heading on the front page of the American newspapers reads 'Unconditional Surrender by Japs Completed at 20 Minute Ceremony'. Beneath the heading is written 'Sunday is Proclaimed as V.J Day in Global Broadcast by Truman'.
