Known as 'Jack'. Son of English migrants R.J.W. was born in the Western Goldfields. Married Daisy Elizabeth Geary at Christ Church Claremont March 1913. Children: Jim, Arthur, Noel (1915 - ), Doris (Dunn, 1917 - 2000 ) and Jean (Mulder, 1922 - 2015 ). Also known as 'Cabbie' Williams. Lived at 22 Gugeri Street later site of Coles Supermarket. He started as a butcher in Cottesloe, and also worked as a timber cutter, before operating a horse drawn cab service opposite the Claremont Station. He is believed to have held the last licence for horse drawn cabs in Western Australia. Bought 5 1/2 acres in Davies Road and moved there around 1945. (House possibly built from material salvaged from demolition of Gugeri Street house. Council reclaimed about 2 acres for the golf course.
