My dear Mrs Maley
Mr Major will call at your house tomorrow & return some of the boots you kindly lent me last week. I have kept three pairs the brown 10/6 & the stiff without heels 7/6, the kid fitted me but I do not like the elastic, it wears badly – Many thanks for the patterns, will you send me 6 yards of the 2/6d alpaca and 3 yds of very fine black muslin or black ?ailatane would do send 2 white reels of No 30 clarks’ cotton any other makers’ will do should you not have Clarks, also one yard of black sarsenet ribbon ½ inch wide. Will you please to enable Mr Major to bring it.

P.s. Should you have any white braid about ½ inch wide would you send me 4 yd it is for the bottom of a white muslin dress the broad wavy braid or any fancy braid would suit. Over
