LETTER SCALES

Overview

a) The wooden base of the scales is rectangular with three circular hollows in different signs to hold the weights. The scales have a circular plate for the weights and a rectangular plate for the letters on the opposite side. There is a needle pointing down to the centre to indicate that the balance is perfect.
(b-d) Three brass weights, circular with a depression in centre so that they can fit into one another, 2 oz, 1 oz and 1/2 oz respectively. On side of scales is stamped "Made in England. Warranted accurate."
