Overview

Carved timber pipe with gumnut sized bowl with thick edges and showing evidence of tobacco still inside. Pipe comes apart and fixed with a hand carved screw.

Part A). Box (bowl) has a thin piece of wire around the end that screws in a small twist of the ends pointing down.
Part B). Slightly sculpted with the fitting end being carved quite thin then becoming wider. The mouthpiece is whittled down to a wedge in the hole only just visible.

Historical information

Manufactured briar pipe that had a broken stem which was fixed with a hand made bush-wood replacement.
