VASE: PORCELAIN, HAND-PAINTED FLORAL DESIGN

Overview

European [German/Hungarian/Czcho-Slavakian] hand-painted porcelain vase. The vase is a flatterned pear shape with a flared scalloped lip. The handles are arabesque-shaped. The vase is cream-coloured with an ochre flush around the rim, down the handle and right side and around the base. A spray of yellow and dark pink roses and other small flowers has been hand painted onto one side. The vase formerly belonged to the donor's mother, Mrs. Edith Bannear, who bought it second hand.
