Eileen rented the house while Bill was away on active service during World War II and Bill lived there on his return. The house has a gable and two brick chimneys are visible above its corrugated iron roof. The verandah has a bull-nosed corrugated iron roof as well as wooden trim. Some of its wooden arches are filled in with a wooden trellis for a creeper to grow against. A person is seated on the verandah. There is a wooden picket fence in front. Date of photograph: c. 1940-1946/7. Date of image: c. 1900.
