Australian Baseball Team cap - 1994 Nicaragua Baseball World Cup
An Australian Baseball Team cap from the 1994 Nicaragua Baseball World Cup championships. The cap has a dark green crown with the logo of Baseball Australia embroidered on the front. The logo is of a green kangaroo in front of a white baseball on a green diamond. Horizontal yellow stripes extend out from both sides of the kangaroo. Above the logo the words 'Baseball Australia' are embroidered in yellow thread. The visor and the button on top of the crown are covered in yellow fabric.
The 1994 Baseball World Cup was the 32nd international men's amateur baseball tournament. It was held, for the fourth time, in Nicaragua, from August 3 to 14. Cuba defeated South Korea in the final to win its 21st title. There were 16 participating countries, split into two groups, with the first four of each group qualifying for the finals. Australia was placed ninth in the final standings.

The cap was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by Paul Tye, an official with the Australian team.
The cap has historic and social significance as part of an Australian representative team's uniform. It is well-prevenance and adds to the Baseball WA's cap collection.
