The United Bus Company, established in 1931, ran inter-suburban private bus services that initially travelled from Claremont to Perth via Dalkeith and Nedlands.
Over the years the company also known as United Buses Ltd and United Bus Services.
United imported its buses from the United Kingdom prior to World War II. United buses were painted cream with a broad dark green strip containing cream writing. United imported Perth's first double-decker bus in 1937.
United conductress uniforms were fawn with brown piping in summer and dark brown in winter.
United ran bus services over various routes until 1958 when they were compulsorily acquired by a new government authority, the Metropolitan Transport Trust (MTT).
