Overview

A cream and yellow floral arc shaped headdress. The headdress is made of a thin wire headband which is bound in white cotton. There are 10 wax flowers, 9 attached, 1 unattached. The wax flowers each have 5 pointed petals and a centre made with yellow cotton threads. There are also 20 small bud shaped wax flowers and several looped white cords at each side and a narrow double elastic band for attachment.

Historical information

Used at the Wedding of Concetta (Connie) Ariti and Sjephan (Stephen/ Steve) Budrovich at St Kieran's Church, Tuart Hill on 29 September 1951.

It was made by Mrs Frankina of West Perth. Connie Budrovich (nee Ariti) was the daughter (1 of 10 children) of Giuseppe (Joe) Ariti & Rosaria Ariti (nee Canzirri) who were among the first people to settle in Wanneroo.
