CLAREMONT RAILWAY STATION AND YARD

Eastern footbridge with controller's box: western footbridge with signal cabin. Signals, yard and goods sheds on right. In background, blue roofed Churinga Gardens apartments, Stirling Road, and high rise building in Dean Street.
Gravel surfaced platform used during Royal Show and for troop trains during WWII. Eastern footbridge and Controller's Box used at show time for pedestrian access and to oversee increased traffic on lines.
