MILITARY BADGE: ROYAL AUSTRALIAN ARTILLERY

c. 1940
Overview

Military cap badge, gold coloured.
Centre of badge is a wheeled gun, transverse barrel and stand to right hand side of badge. Between gun and crown is part of a scroll with the MOTTO 'UBIQUE' embossed, and below the gun across the base of the badge is the motto 'QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT'. The back of the badge has two loops at lower edge with split pins for fastening.

War History; memorabilia. Australian Military badges. Identical badges are used in the Artillery of the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand. Split pins are typical of Australian badges as opposed to single brass pins in the UK and Canada.
