Small balance scale standing on flat painted base. Base and back support is painted dark green and base is embossed with decorative design. Two well-sprung semi-circular arms are suspended from a pivot and move sideways when a weight is placed on the top. Openwork tray. Graduations on these arms measure weight from 1.16 oz. To 4 oz. May have been used in post office
