Army records show that there was a Private Hedley Christopher with Service Number 4093 who was a member of 28 Infantry Battalion, 9 to 18 Reinforcements (February-December 1916).
He embarked from Fremantle, 01 April 1916, on the HMAT Ulysses A38.
Private Hedley Christopher (Service Number 4093) was an English-born handyman who served in the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) during the First World War. He was attached to the 28th Infantry Battalion as part of the 9th to 18th Reinforcements.
