World War 2, Western Australia, Fortress Fremantle, Leighton Battery, Construction, 1943

1942
Subcollections
Fortress Fremantle and the Defence of Western Australia
Overview

Emplacements being constructed for the 2 x 6" MK VII guns which were being dismounted at Arthurs Head. There is some doubt about when the photo was taken and this may have been the emplacements for the 5.25" guns.
