LADIES PURSE

Overview

A black, square ladies purse with a faded picture on the front of ladies in period costume swanning under a canopy of trees.

It has a twist metal clasp which opens to two coin compartments in red leather. The front has a popper which opens into three sections also in red leather. It has two sections to hold banknotes and there is text in the left hand corner written in gold.

This collection of objects from 15 William Street Armadale was collected to provide a snapshot of everyday items that were in a Armadale home in the from the early 1930s through to the 1970s. The collection was used by who Miss Ivy 'Milly' Millicent Rowe lived in the home from c1932-1970.
