c. 1933Paper copy of black and white photograph of a steam roller compacting bitumen on Roberts Road c. 1933. The steam roller and the Bean truck in the background were owned by the Council. A tar sprayer is mounted on the truck. Four men walk close to the truck, one man drives the steam roller. Roberts Road houses are visible on the right (south) side of the road and a large tree on the left.
An oral history recorded by Mr. Len Preedy in 1984 is held in the Subiaco Museum Oral History collection.
