VASE: SMALL BLUE, WHITE AND FLORAL, GIFT TO EVELYN PARKER
c. 1977Small bone china vase with a band of hand painted pink roses and leaves around the centre; off-white above and pale blue below. Gold rim around the top of vase. The artist is I. Ralph painted amongst the roses. Hand printed on the base in gold paint: To Evelyn Parker from The Soroptimist Club of Stirling 25 January 1977
The vase was found amongst the possessions of Phyllis Frost, friend and fellow traveller with Miss Evelyn Parker. They were friends since Perth College days and both were teachers. It is presumed it was given to Phyllis Frost (the aunt of the donor) as a memento, possibly following the death of Miss Parker.

Presented to Miss Evelyn Parker, who was Mayor of Subiaco 1975-1977. The Subiaco Library was named after her.
