HAT PIN: PEARL AND COPPER HEAD
Hat pin, brass with head made of thin copper-finished metal. Copper disc is bent to curve around an elongated white artificial pearl which has a softly textured surface. The metal disc is smooth on the inside and embossed with feather and leaf patterns on the outside.

Hat pins from the home of the Misses Newman (two sisters), on the corner of Kershaw and Hamersley Roads, Subiaco. Hat pins used to secure hats on hair and prevent the hats blowing off.
