CROCHET, IRISH, COLLAR
c. 1900A lady’s lace collar, fine example of hand Irish crochet, made in Ireland circa 1900, rarely found in current time.
The collar, made of independent motifs - shamrock, shamrock petalled flower, and rose - are connected with crochet bars with picots.
The large petalled flowers is a shamrock flower, with varied number of petals – one has 7, three have 8, two have 9 and one has 10.
